BT81: Lil’ Brandi

$54.95

In stock

The BT81 Lil’ Brandi is our long awaited answer to getting a 1913 Picatinny Rail mounted on a traditional rifle stock without taking the rifle apart, drilling holes or damaging the stock. Installation utilizes the existing sling stud and provided cross pin, set screw and hex wrench.

It features 3 usable slots for attaching any rail mounted Atlas Bipod and a sling attachment to utilize a sling if desired. The angular wings with rubber pads contact the stock. Machined to Picatinny rail standards from 7075-T6 aluminum with Mil-Spec Type III Class 2 finish. No disassembly required. Patent Pending.

Not intended for use with flat stocks (reference fourth and fifth image). If the stock has two sling studs, we strongly recommend using our BT15 or BT17

Description

BT81 Installation Instructions:

  1. Ensure the firearm is NOT loaded
  2. Verify Sling Stud is tight in stock (Optional: remove Sling Stud, place epoxy on threads, replace and tighten, and let cure according to epoxy instructions)
  3. Check the BT81 fit to the stock by setting it over the front sling stud with the smooth face of the BT81 towards the muzzle; verify if the rubber pads are contacting the stock. Add additional rubber material (not provided) if needed.
  4. Do not use the BT81 on your stock if the rubber pads do not contact the stock as the stock will be damaged (reference fourth and fifth images above).
  5. Remove BT81; with the buttstock on a solid surface, place the included 1/8 x 1/2” dowel pin into the rifles sling stud hole
  6. Carefully place BT81 back onto stock with smooth face towards muzzle, lining the ends of dowel pin up with the .530 circular relief hole
  7. Press the BT81 against stock and pull it down towards the buttstock. The dowel pin should engage the angular slot in the BT81 body
  8. Tighten the installed dog tipped set screw with the included Hex wrench to snug the BT81 to the rifle stock. Check tension often and make sure you do not over tighten. Once it is tight, there should be no movement between the BT81 and the rifle stock
  9. Verify the BT81 is tight before each use as settling might occur. Retighten again as described in #6
  10. To remove the BT81, remove the set screw completely. Then with soft blow, non-marring mallet, gently tap on the end closest to the buttstock, moving it towards the muzzle
